　２月２８日に行われた、トランプ、ゼレンスキー両大統領の会談時の写真です。ヤフー上の「東洋経済オンライン」の写真を利用させてもらいます。よろしくお願いします。（以下、人物の敬称等は、省略します。）

　今回は、この会談とその後への影響等、セブンイレブン（セブン＆アイHDも含めて）の２点について書いてみたいと思います。一応、６日までの経過を含めて、６日に書いています。

　まず、米国・ウクライナ会談、言い換えれば、トランプ・ゼレンスキー会談とその後への影響等についてです。この会談では、米国側は、ウ・ロ間の停戦交渉、米国支援の代償としての鉱物資源の共同開発、ウクライナ側は、停戦や停戦後の安全について、先方の理解、同意を得ることが狙いでした。しかし、会談前から、双方には、先方への疑念、不信感等々があったと言えます。

　２日の毎日新聞、２面の記事によると（以下、記事の引用等をさせてもらいます）、「ロシアに肩入れしすぎではないか」という記者の質問にトランプが答えた後、突然、バンス副大統領が、割り込んだかたちになったようです。バンスは、「平和、繁栄への道は外交かも知れない」などと語りました。ゼレンスキーが、「外交とは何か」とバンスに問うと、バンスは、「失礼だ」と批判し、口論が始まりました。ゼレンスキーは、さらに、「米国は、海が隔てているから、ロシアの脅威を感じないだろうが、将来は感じるだろう」などと続けました。これに対して、トランプが、「我々がどう感じるかを決めつけるな。あなたは、第３次世界大戦にかけようとしている」と返しました。そして、バンスが、「米国と大統領に感謝の言葉を述べなさい」と言い、ゼレンスキーは、「何度も感謝の言葉を述べている」と応え、さらにウクライナの安全の保証を求めました。それに対して、トランプは、「取引するか、我々が身を引くかのどちらかだ」と突き放したというのです。そして、トランプは、以後の「昼食会」を中止し、ゼレンスキーをホワイトハウスから退出させたというのです。（何かの情報では、トランプは、昼食会に出す予定のものを食べたそうです。）

　米国側から見れば、今までに約１０兆円をもウクライナに支援してやっているのに、ゼレンスキーには、感謝の気持ちが足りないとなるし、ウクライナ側から見れば、支援はありがたいが、ロシアは、協定等を決めても、すぐに破って侵略してくるのだから、米国には安全保証をしてほしいのだとなることになります。約１０兆円については、バイデン政権が出したもので、トランプが出したものではありません。また、ロシア寄りのトランプに、安全保証を求めるのも、無理がある気もします。

　結局、米側は、ウクライナが、本気で停戦に向かうようになるまで、一切の支援を止めると決めました。これは、世界の秩序を破って、ウクライナへの不当で、卑劣な侵攻をしたロシアを利することになります。ロシアの大統領報道官ぺスコフは、「米国の支援停止は、平和への最大の貢献になるだろう」と語っていますが、内心では、「しめしめ、これで、ウクライナを思いっきり攻められる」と思っていることでしょう。トランプの「決定」は、資本主義社会、自由主義社会の大国が、他陣営（現在のロシアは、社会主義や共産主義社会とは言えませんが）への「譲歩」として、まさに歴史的な汚点を残すものという批判も出されています。いくら、トランプやバンスが、ゼレンスキーに対して、怒りのままに行った決定であったにせよ、そのために、ウクライナにいかに大きな被害が生じるか考えていないことはないでしょう。逆に、トランプ、バンスは、「ウクライナがさらに激しく攻撃されることが分かっていて」、「決定」をしていることにもなるでしょう。トランプが、停戦を、平和を求めるのは、本心だとは思いますが、更なる犠牲者が続出するかも知れない「決定」をするのは、最大の誤りであり、自由主義社会への裏切りだと思います。私は、まさに名もない一個人ですが、トランプの決定は、ロシアの世界の法や秩序を踏みにじる侵略行為を黙認するに等しい行為であり、激しく非難するとともに、絶対に許すことはできません。トランプは、この先、どんな「政治」を行うか分かりませんが、世界観も狭く、自分本位であり、高齢で短気でもあり、米国や世界にとって、有害な「政治」を続けることになるでしょう。米国内においては、今後、共和党支持者であっても、トランプ政権について、批判すべき時は批判すべきですし、民主党や民主党支持者、無党派層も、積極的にトランプ政権の問題点を指摘、批判し、彼が米国に、そして世界に悪影響を及ばさないようにしてほしいと思います。

　次は、セブンイレブン（セブン＆アイHDも含む）というコンビニについて書きます。（勿論、他のコンビニにも当てはまることになりますが。）私は、コンビニはよく利用しますが、セブンイレブンやファミマ、ローソン等々のコンビニも含めて、いくつもの問題点を感じて来たので、否定的な内容が多くなると思います。ただ、読んでくださる方には、ある程度の納得感を感じていただけるのではないかと思っています。

　セブンイレブンは、１９７５年に、日本国内で初めての店ができたのでしょうか。２４時間、開いているし、利用者には、確かに便利です。また、その頃の一般の駄菓子屋、八百屋、酒店等々と比べると、きれいで、明るく、買い易い感じがしたと思います。そして、たちまち、各地で開店されるようになりました。例えば、駄菓子屋で考えてみると、○○商店などと言っても、近くの人たちが買いに来るくらいで、よほどの客が寄る店でなければ、営業としては、成り立たないことになります。おばあさんや奥さんが、片手間でやっているくらいの店が多かったと言えます。そんな中で、テレビなどで宣伝されるセブンイレブンとなると、客の入りは、全く違い、大勢の客が来るようになります。だんだんと、地方でも、町中、大通り沿いなどに、店が増えていきました。

　ところが、チェーン店の本部は、まさに「血も涙もない、非情な人たちが多い」と言われるようになりました。駄菓子屋、酒店、農家などに、コンビニ店舗の拡張員がやって来て、ここならば、セブンイレブンにすれば、１日、何十万円くらい売れますよ、というのです。本当かなと疑う人は、止めるでしょうが、すぐに信じる人も多く、「やります」と言ってしまいます。勿論、所在地によっても、開業資金は異なりますが、建物、駐車場だけで（所有地に建てるとして）２０００年頃でも、３０００万円くらいはしたことでしょう。ところが、初めのうちは、客もかなり来ますが、だんだんと客が減ってきます。１日何十万円なんて、嘘じゃないかと思うようになります。また、近くに別のコンビニができ、さらには、同じのセブンイレブンが建つこともあります。

　拡張員は、開業した店が閉店しようが知ったことではありません。自分は、とにかく、新規の出店を見つけるだけなのです。セブンイレブンの会社は、新しい店の建築だけでも、加盟料などで、利益が出るようになっています。やはり、どこが閉店しようと差し障りはありません。店舗のオーナーは、閉店するまでには、借金が、５千万円を超える店も多いでしょう。まさに、「だまされた」と気づくことになります。

　埼玉県内などでも、閉店したコンビニが、コインランドリー、マッサージ店、高齢者施設等々になっているのをよく見かけます。借りる業者がいれば、赤字も少しは減りますが、借りる業者もないところは、泣くだけです。

　セブン＆アイHDの動向について考えれば、上記のような問題を抱えたコンビニエンスストア、セブンイレブンを運営する会社の業績が悪くなるのも、当然のことではないでしょうか。セブン＆アイHDでは、現在の井坂隆一社長は、やがて退任し、外国人のデイカス氏が、就任するそうです。同HDの単独経営の維持を図り、株主や市場の支持を得られるようにしたいと考えているそうです。日本国内のいくつもの会社を経験してきた海千山千の人物のようですが、なかなか難しい経営になるのではないでしょうか。そして、やがては、カナダのアリマンタシォン・クシュタールに買収されるようになるかも知れません。私は、この会社にしても、セブン＆アイHDを買収したとしても、それほど利点などはないと思います。

　付け足しますが、現在の日本のコンビニは、商品の値段が、スーパー等に比べると、かなり高くなっていると言えます。ですから、スーパーに行くのは無理という人は、コンビニに寄りますが、スーパーに行ける人は、スーパーでコンビニより安い商品を買います。コンビニの利用者は、減って来ているのではないでしょうか。
